Leave a gift in your Will
And keep helping generations of New Zealanders“Released from the gloom. We’re able to be the people we want to be. It made me realise God is interested in the whole lot.” — Alan & Delwyn
Imagine if all New Zealanders in need could receive free practical support, and encounter the transforming love of Jesus – through you, CAP and the local church.
You can help generations of New Zealanders with a gift to CAP in your Will.
Free until 30th September – in partnership with Safewill
Adding a gift to CAP in your Will means…
-
-
- You ensure the values you hold today benefit New Zealand families of tomorrow
- You’re building towards a future where CAP’s services are freely available, in every city, town and suburb across New Zealand
- You’ll provide families struggling in debt and money chaos with help and hope —and a chance to live life to its fullest
- You’ll join a special group of caring supporters, known as Tomorrow Givers
-
“We believe CAP is showing Jesus’ heart for those in need. This has inspired us to leave a gift to CAP in our Will.” — Rose & Laurence

Three simple ways to get started

It can take as little as 20 minutes to complete your Will and ensure your wishes are honoured and your loved ones are taken care of. After family and friends, please consider including Christians Against Poverty New Zealand in your Will.
Your gift, no matter how large or small, will make a life-transforming difference for future generations of New Zealanders.

Suggested ‘Gift in Will’ wording
Most of CAP’s Tomorrow Givers choose to leave a residual legacy. These gifts hold their value regardless of inflation and allow you to cover loved ones’ needs first.
Here is some suggested wording you may wish to share with your solicitor – including options for the different types of gift you may choose to leave:
“I give to Christians Against Poverty (CC22369)
-
-
-
- [insert number] % of the residue of my estate or
- [insert number] % of my estate, or
- the sum of $ [insert amount], and/or
- property or assets as follows [insert details]
For its general purposes, and I declare that this gift free of all charges and duties to Christians Against Poverty, PO Box 12041, Penrose, Auckland for its general purposes and declare that the official receipt of the Chief Executive or other authorised officer of Christians Against Poverty NZ shall be full and sufficient discharge to my Executor for all moneys paid under this gift.”

What are people saying?
Rose & Laurence — CAP Tomorrow Giver
“We believe CAP is showing Jesus’ heart for those in need. This has inspired us to leave a gift to CAP in our Will.”
Nigel & Jane — CAP Tomorrow Giver
“CAP demonstrates Christ’s love by caring for those in financial hardship, advocating for those who are being unfairly burdened by exorbitant interest rates, and weaving in the Gospel with practical support.
They are God’s feet and hands, introducing the Good News to those who may never have heard it and praying for clients; reminding them how much they are loved and that God has not abandoned them.”
Christine — CAP Tomorrow Giver
“A CAP speaker came to our church many years ago. His talk about CAP and what it stood for totally inspired me and I knew I wanted to be part of it. I signed up to the monthly giving programme and have never regretted this decision.
As I am now at a stage in life where a Will is very necessary, it has been an easy decision to leave a gift in my Will to CAP for the continuance of the wonderful work they do, in the Lord’s name.”
