Like you, CAP is passionate about releasing New Zealanders like Sarah from debt & poverty

Living in money chaos feels like being caught in a swift current.

Sarah says, “I freaked. When it came to debt, the pressures of creditors calling… Wanting to be able to have good meals for the kids, and not being able to afford the right foods – it took all the oxygen out of me.”

Before CAP: 1 of 2 clients skipped meals because of debt. 4 of 5 said it affected mental health.

Together with the church, CAP prevents New Zealanders being swept away — enabling whānau to reach their goals!

CAP’s services are free! This is possible because Christians Against Poverty partners with 100+ local churches across Aotearoa. The ministry is supported by donors, who give what they can. Each client like Sarah journeys with a CAP Coach from a church community, plus a dedicated CAP Financial Mentor to advocate & walk alongside them — building financially resilient whānau.

“What an honour it is to partner with parents like Sarah… as they strengthen their relationships with money, themselves, others, and God.

Thank you for your shared heart to bring practical help & hope to local communities.”

Sam Garaway — CEO, Christians Against Poverty New Zealand
