Aimee Mai

CEO

After working in both accountancy and human resources, Aimee joined CAP as a volunteer in 2008 and never looked back. She loves seeing churches equipped to live out their faith by serving the most vulnerable people in their communities. Aimee lives in South Auckland, with her husband Ben, who just happens to be the Network Partnerships Director.

Sam Garaway

General Manager

After working in the recruitment industry for a number of years, Sam joined CAP in 2014. As he leads the day-to-day operations, Sam loves that CAP is providing a practical, powerful answer to those most in need in our nation. He and his wife Ari live in Auckland, though they escape for bush, hunting or water adventures whenever they can!

Ben Mai

Network Partnerships Director

Ben joined the CAP team in 2014 after working with Stats New Zealand. Today, he oversees partnerships with CAP's network of churches across NZ, and the development of new CAP ministries. He is most inspired by the stories he hears of lives transformed through the work of CAP and the love of Jesus. He lives with his wife Aimee in South Auckland.

Faith Tudor

Partnership & Fundraising Director

Faith hails from the United Kingdom, although as her Dad is originally from Christchurch she feels very much a New Zealander at heart! Leading the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications team, Faith oversees the relationship with the thousands of CAP supporters across Aotearoa, encouraging them with the impact they are making for hundreds of families every year. Faith is married to Alex, who happens to be CAP’s Client Support Manager.

Abbey Peters

Church Partnership Director

Abbey joined CAP in 2016 after a number of years working with museum and art collections throughout New Zealand. Now as CAP’s Church Partnership Director, Abbey’s heart is to empower the local church to reach their community. She loves journeying with churches; getting to know their vision and heartbeat, and offering support as they consider, pray and plan to run a CAP Ministry in their community. Abbey lives in South Auckland with her husband Mike.

David Gin

Chief Financial Officer

David brings a wealth of financial experience from his 30+ year finance career.
Following two decades in various senior finance roles in Hong Kong, David became the CFO at New Zealand’s largest tax pool firm, and was responsible for a large funding portfolio, as well as planning for the firm’s 3-5 year financial horizon. Now as CAP NZ’s CFO, David loves the opportunity to combine his professional experience and personal passion to help New Zealanders find freedom from poverty. David and his wife live in Glendowie and have three sons.

Geoff Harper

Client Services Director

After 40 years of working for a Global Corporate - most recently as it's Australasian Head of Supply - Geoff joined CAP in 2017. As CAP's Director of Client Services, Geoff brings his extensive experience in developing teams to ensure every CAP client receives the very best help as they journey out of debt and toward financial freedom. Whether in his role at CAP, or as a husband and father, Geoff loves his life to be natural expression of his faith.

Nick Field

Chairman of the Board

Nick is the Senior Pastor of The Street City Church, a thriving church community in Wellington that has partnered with CAP since 2013. He is passionate about creating a community of disciple-makers that transforms people by the power of the gospel, and brings this unique pastoral perspective to the CAP board.

Warren Fountain

Trustee

An avid entrepreneur and long-time Auckland businessman, Warren joined the CAP board in its early days. He brings years of experience in business development and has a passion for seeing people helped out of poverty and living a life filled with the hope of Jesus.

Bruce Edmonds

Trustee

In 2007, Bruce was part of the team who invited CAP to New Zealand. With 33 years in the finance industry, he realised the need for holistic services provided through the church – services that helped people out of poverty, instead of keeping them trapped.

Karen Lawrence

Trustee

After working for a major New Zealand Bank, Karen now works in the Community Housing Team at VisionWest Community Trust. In her role in providing community programs and managing short term tenancy agreements, Karen helps to empower New Zealand families and their wider whānau as they transition into more permanent housing. Karen is driven by working with CAP to provide practical help to people who are most vulnerable in New Zealand, and offering people lasting hope through the love of Jesus and the local church.

Peter Boyce

Trustee

Peter is a senior tax partner in Price Waterhouse Cooper NZ, and brings a wealth of experience in advising and assisting executive management teams, boards and shareholders to navigate complex issues for their organisations and help them achieve their full potential. He is on the Board of several other charities, including being the co-chair of PwC NZ's Charitable Foundation. He and his wife Susan are long-time supporters of CAP (Susan worked at CAP for 5 years) and are passionate about supporting CAP to reach and help even more people throughout Aotearoa.

Pulotu Bruce Levi

Trustee

Bruce is the Pacific General Manager for Waitemata & Auckland District Health Boards, as well as a practitioner in Mental Health and Addictions. As part of the Board, Bruce is passionate about working with CAP to help families and communities reach their God-given aspirations. In addition to holding his extended Samoan family’s matai title of Pulotu, he is a husband, father, an elder in his local church…and a diehard Warriors fan.

Ralph Simpson

Trustee

Ralph brings over 35 years’ experience as a barrister and solicitor – previously serving in roles as a former litigation partner for Bell Gully, and then as a consultant for the United Nations helping to combat human trafficking in Asia and Africa. Ralph now works as the General Counsel for Fletcher Building. He is married with two children, and has an avid interest in cycling, photography and hiking.
