how we help Christians Against Poverty is a debt counselling charity which offers a free, holisitic and indepth service to those who are struggling with unmanageable debt in New Zealand. CAP works with a network of church-based centres in order to release communities from the cycle of debt and poverty. We aim to have a debt counselling centre in every major town and city in New Zealand within the next ten years, thus enabling us to help hundreds of families around the nation.Currently CAP only has a limited centre coverage, so please check our centre locations to see if there is a debt counselling centre in your area. Free Debt CounsellingChristians Against Poverty provides a free debt counselling service through a network of church-based centres. From these centres, trained caseworkers visit clients in their own homes and work with them to obtain the information needed to find a route out of debt. Each client is then offered a volunteer support worker to walk alongside them as they journey towards becoming debt-free. ![]() Contact usIf you are in debt and want to find out more about CAP's free debt counselling service call our freephone number and speak to a client services officer.
