CAP Job Clubs is an exciting programme that provides a simple and effective way for your church to build relationships and relieve poverty in your community - by helping the unemployed back into work.
The fact is, New Zealand desperately needs such a programme: there are tens of thousands searching for work, unable to find it and losing hope in the process.
And this is where CAP and the local church come in. CAP Job Clubs, like all of CAP's services, is designed to give people practical, life-transforming help and bring them into a life filled with hope and freedom.
The CAP Job Club model is based on an eight-week course that gives job seekers an understanding on how to stand out from the crowd and gain a better understanding of themselves, their employers and the job market. Each participant receives individual coaching, as well as support from other CAP Job Club participants and your church community.
How CAP equips your church
The CAP Job Clubs team will provide comprehensive training to enable your church member(s) to become CAP Job Club Managers/Coaches and help people step into employment. As with every CAP service, your church will receive all the materials and long-term support needed to make this course a success.
And most importantly, by helping and supporting the unemployed, you and your church will have the chance to welcome new families into your church!
