giving people in debt hope and a solution

Fundraising

FUNDRAISING TIPS

We want you to raise as much as possible, both to benefit CAP’s clients and to make taking part worthwhile for you. Here are some ideas to get you started...
  • Target: Set yourself a target and aim high! Tell people how much money you’re aiming to raise and sponsors will rise to the challenge to help you on your way.
  • Generous people: Ask the people who are likely to be your most generous sponsors to start you off. The next people will often follow suit when others are being so generous.
  • Company Sponsorship: Many companies will match money raised by employees for charities, so be sure to ask. Other companies will happily give a ‘company gift’.
  •  Seize every opportunity: Make sure you take your sponsor form with you wherever you go. Friends, family, and colleagues will be happy to help! Think of past colleagues and friends around the country too.
  • Recruit others: Ask close friends or family to fill up a sponsor form with their friends too. If you are doing something challenging, people will be happy to do their bit to help.
CHOOSE YOUR CHALLENGE

Why not choose your own challenge to raise funds to help the poor of New Zealand? There are a million and one things you could do, from sky diving to car washing. If you have a fundraising idea lets us know and we will provide you with a fundraising pack including sponsorship forms and handy fundraising tips.

If you raise over $250 then you will receive a free Christians Against Poverty T-Shirt! If you would like a pack or have any questions either call the Events Team on 09 270 0334 or email events@capnz.org.
