There are many ways to get involved in the work of Christians Against Poverty as we reach out to people living in poverty in New Zealand. Below are just some of the ways which individuals and churches can support us.

financial support

Our vision is to open a debt counselling centre in every major town and city in New Zealand within the next 10 years. This will give everyone the opportunity to receive our life-changing help. We receive no government funding and rely on individuals and churches to assist in the expansion of this vital work.

• Regular Giving: Our regular givers are called Life Changers because it is only with their help that we can give people a life-changing solution to their debts and financial crises.

• One-Off Donations: We also welcome one-off gifts from individuals and groups. You can donate online or call the Partnership and Communications team on 09 270 0334 to set up a payment.

Your gift will enable us to help more people break the chain of debt and to become debt-free. Thousands of people are seeing their lives turned around through the work of CAP and we really appreciate every gift that we receive. We hear stories all the time of how people’s lives are transformed and the joy expressed when a client becomes de bt free is just amazing.

Race For Hope

Take part in the Orewa Beach Half Marathon on April 11 to raise money for those in need. This spectacular run starts and finishes on the beautiful Orewa beach with stunning coastal views. If you are not ready for the half marathon then there is the 10.5km or 5km run/walk you can join.

CAP Money Training Days

Equip your church to run CAP Money – a comprehensive yet astonishingly simple money management course. CAP Money training days are run on various dates throughout 2010.

7 Day Challenge

Take up the challenge of living on a CAP client budget for 7 days and help the poor and marginalised in our society by donating the difference to Christians Against Poverty
