giving people in debt hope and a solution

"Before CAP, life was totally disorganised and stressful. I felt guilty because my bills weren't getting paid and I knew I wasn't meeting my responsibilities to the people I owed money to. This caused all sorts of bad feelings. Many days when I'd woken up, I just wanted to pull the covers over my head and retire from the world. I didn't want to get out of bed, I didn't want to see people. If the phone rang or if there was a knock on the door, I was fearful of it. It was utterly depressing.

CAP took a great deal of stress off my shoulders. They presented a plan so that I could repay my creditors and still have enough to live on. They were able to instil in me a sense of responsibility which I hadn't previously had. I have so much praise for CAP that it's difficult to describe - they are totally professional. Now, I'm much more relaxed and I have been shown how to be responsible - that's taken away a lot of the stress.

The other thing that CAP has done for me is thoroughly renewed my commitment to Jesus Christ. I had been raised in a church and thought of myself as a Christian, but somewhat of a lukewarm one. When I started working with CAP and met the people from Victory Christian Centre, I felt there was no doubting their sincerity. Meeting the people from the church there helped me to re-recognise Jesus Christ."
