• Who can participate?

Anyone can get involved and it's an awesome thing to do with your flatmates, family, or friends. We'd love it if your whole church could get involved! It's all about making a difference and raising awareness of the real issues of poverty in New Zealand.

 

• Is it $50 per person?

Yes, the budget is the average budget of one CAP client, so the challenge is easier if you get your whole family or flat involved.

• I can't live on $50!

Well, the $50 is for food and leisure costs only - it doesn't include things like petrol and rent, so you don't need to worry that you're going to get behind on your bills! The point is to try to spend as little as you can for one week - so don't worry if you can't meet the budget exactly. We want people to participate, to have fun and to be aware of the difficulties which our clients face in meeting day to day needs.
